The Brazilian Association of Electric Power Distributors (ABRADEE) brings together 39 electricity distribution concessionaires – both state-owned and private – operating across all regions of the country. Together, they are responsible for serving 99.6% of Brazilian consumers.
ABRADEE supports its members in technical, commercial, economic-financial, legal, and institutional areas. It also facilitates communication and acts as an intermediary between the Granting Authority, regulatory bodies, parliament, the press, and various stakeholders in the electricity sector, focusing on defending the interests of the segment.

Since 1952, CEMIG has been a leader in providing efficient and sustainable electric power to various municipalities across Brazil. With over 70 years of history, the company operates in all sectors of the energy industry, including generation, transmission, distribution, and commercialization of electric power, as well as natural gas distribution.

The distributor boasts the highest rate of service to low-income consumers in the country, providing electric power to 42.9% of total residential class consumers.In Minas Gerais alone, CEMIG serves approximately 96% of the state, over nine million consumers in 774 municipalities, showcasing its extensive technical expertise and coverage.
